Domiciliary or Home Care as it is more commonly known is increasingly becoming the preferred choice of care. Traditionally anyone could provide Home Care services.

In 2003 the Care Standards Act was introduced, requiring compulsory registration for all care providers and thereafter regular inspections from an independent organisation, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This has resulted in the Domiciliary Care industry becoming highly regulated and therefore a safe choice.

Caretree is an established Domiciliary Care agency which enables clients to stay in the comfort of their own home safely, therefore preventing the disruption of a move to a residential or nursing home. Caretree provides comprehensive packages of care which range from light housework or a few hours of personal care per week to a more comprehensive package of multiple visits a day. All packages are tailored to meet the client's specific needs and are developed following a comprehensive assessment.

The owners of Caretree, Linzi and Mark Prendergast have a combination of Healthcare and Business Management experience. Throughout her nursing and hospital management career Linzi has strived to give care in a way that she would want to be cared for herself. With these experiences and a genuine desire to make a difference to their clients' lives, Caretree was formed.

In order for excellent care to be given, the owners feel it is paramount that the right calibre of staff are employed. A continuous staff training and development programme is implemented which exceeds the latest healthcare legislation, regulations and guidelines set by the CQC.
